Pelvic organ prolapse affects millions of women, yet care remains overlooked.
Sylvia Health develops design-led solutions that address urgent, unmet needs in women’s pelvic health.
A new kind of support for rectocele prolapse
Our first product is a self-manageable device worn inside the vagina to provide targeted support for rectocele, a major type of pelvic organ prolapse. Similar in simplicity to a menstrual cup, it is designed to fit women’s lives and existing clinical pathways.
Developed through iterative testing with women and clinicians, the device has now completed a clinical investigation at Herlev Hospital. We are progressing it towards manufacturing and regulatory submission.
Now part of the BioInnovation Institute’s Venture Lab
Sylvia Health has joined BioInnovation Institute’s Venture Lab programme as we progress our first product towards manufacturing, regulatory submission and market readiness.
